A little about The Riveter Barbershop.
WE CAN DO IT!
When I started my career in this industry I began to dream about owning my own barbershop.
Somehow, I was blessed to have the opportunity to open a shop during this pandemic. Most people have said I am crazy for opening a business right now, but I had a dream and knew it was time to make it happen. My dad always told me anything worth having was worth working for. This idea was either going to be successful or never get off the ground. With my two children watching I knew success was my only option.
I named my barbershop The Riveter because I have always been inspired by Rosie the Riveter. She was the star of a campaign aimed at recruiting female workers for defense industries during World War II, and she became perhaps the most iconic image of working women. American women entered the workforce in unprecedented numbers during the war, as widespread male enlistment left gaping holes in the industrial labor force. Between 1940 and 1945, the female percentage of the U.S. workforce increased from 27 percent to nearly 37 percent, and by 1945 nearly one out of every four married women worked outside the home. With that said, The Riveter welcomes any barber that is talented and takes pride in their work! I am also a HUGE supporter of local businesses. Please stop in and check it out!!!
